Basic rules in playing baccarat
All you need to do in baccarat is guess which between the Banker and the Player will have a hand that is closer to nine. It’s simple, quick and easy. A dealer hosts the game using eight standard 52-card decks. In a game of baccarat, the dealer gives two cards to both the player and the banker. If the total of the cards goes beyond 9, the left digit is dropped and the right digit will be the hand’s count.

Bets and payouts
Before the game begins, you need to choose your chip size and place a bet on the banker, player or tie. If you place a bet on either the banker and player and win, you’ll receive a payout of 1:1. However, the casino will take a 5% commission from winning bets placed on the banker. If the tie bet wins, you win 9:1 or 8:1 depending on the game and casino.

The card values in baccarat are as follows:
- Aces are the lowest cards and are worth 1 point each
- Numbered cards from 2 to 9 are worth their numerical values
- 10s and face cards (Jack, Queens and Kings) are each worth 0
